All photographers tell a story, find their voice and tell it how they see it. As photographers, we don’t just want people to see what we see, we want them to taste, smell and feel what we do. If it is cold and windy, we want them to feel the cold and hear the wind. If the kids are laughing, we want them to hear the laughter and see the smiles.

Photographing the Super Moon

This weekend, the moon will be closer to the earth as it has been all year making it appear bigger and brighter than ever. For all you sky watchers and amateur astrologists, be sure and peek out your windows this Saturday, May 5 at 11:35 p.m. (EDT), when the ‘Super Moon’ is said to be most visible.

According to Nasa, this year’s ‘Super Moon’ will be as much as 14% bigger and 30% brighter than other full Moons of 2012.

With Mother’s Day around the corner, we’ve been searching out cool sites and venues to inspire great gift ideas for mom. We recently came across the site The Glow, a site that is a collaboration between Violet Gaynor, the senior fashion editor at InStyle magazine and Kelly Stuart who is a photo director at Hearst.

They feature galleries of cool moms and their kids. From fashion designers to photographers, the galleries are filled with inspirational images and personal tips from one mom to another.
